The Pain Trust is a registered charity (no 276670) is a registered charity who over provide financial assistance to those groups or individuals who satisfy the trust criteria. 

This privacy statement explains how we collect, use and protect the personal information we collect. 

What information will we collect? 

As part of the application process we request the following information; 

  • Name  
  • Contact information
    • Address
    • Telephone number
    • Email
    • Date of birth

How will we use your information? 

Your information will be used to consider your application for financial assistance towards your adventure.  We need to ensure you satisfy the grant application criteria as described here.

By providing your personal information to the Trust you are entering into a contract to request funding for the proposed adventure.  If you do not provide the necessary information to check you satisfy the acceptance criteria the Trust will not be able to consider your application. 

We will also use your contact information to contact you regarding the outcome of your application. 

Your data will not be used for any other purpose. 

Your data will not be shared with any third parties. 

How do we secure your information? 

The Trust are committed to ensuring the information you provide is safe and secure.  We will prevent unauthorised access or disclosure by ensuring we have suitable and robust technical and organisational controls in place to safe guard your information.

Controlling your personal information 

The Trust will hold on to your information in relation to your application until you inform the Trust you no longer want the data held. 

If you want to know what personal information we hold about you then please contact the Trust with a subject of “Personal Data Request”

If you believe any of the information we hold is incorrect or incomplete, then please contact the Trust with a subject of “Personal Data Correction” advising what data should be corrected on; 

If you would like your personal data removed from the Trust records the please contact the Trust with a subject of “Personal Data Removal” advising what data should be removed on; 

How to make a complaint? 

If you are not satisfied and wish to make a complaint in relation to the way your data has been handled, you can refer your complaint to the Data Protection Authority, Information Commissions Office (ICO). Their details can be found on their website at https://ico.org.uk/
